Imagine seeing the human body’s inner workings in stunning 3D, connecting immersive visuals with health sciences theory. The ability to explore joints, muscles, and anatomical structures in detail cements the understanding of complex mechanisms, redefining how anatomy is taught and learned. Dr. Hodder will share her firsthand experience using HoloAnatomy®, a cutting-edge mixed reality platform, with allied health care students in the Kinesiology and Osteopathy programs at Sheridan College. HoloAnatomy’s immersive, 3D visualizations of the human body, have allowed students to explore functional anatomy in a whole new way.
Through a personal lens, Dr. Hodder will walk attendees through her journey with HoloAnatomy, highlighting the unique features of the platform (such as exam mode), the moments of inertia that needed to be overcome when adapting the technology, and the profound impact it has had on understanding human anatomy. Attendees will learn about the technological aspects that make HoloAnatomy a powerful educational tool, as well as the challenges and successes encountered during the learning process.
